Canadian Internet Providers Not Transparent Enough When It Comes to Their Security
A recent report conducted by IXmaps.ca has shown that all Canadian Internet providers are leaving their customers in the dark when it comes to revealing information about how they protect their customer’s privacy. The report was based upon the examination of 43 large and small telecom companies, and as a result concluded that majority of companies need to be more transparent in informing their customers about how they safeguard privacy.
Business owners need to be more aware of how their privacy is protected, especially companies that carry personal information via the internet. They need to be transparent when it comes to knowing who has access to their information, on what terms, how long it is kept, where it is stored, processed and routed.
